Plus with world dance or flamenco you have an opportunity to learn a new art form from another culture and even develop performance skills. We have a wide variety of teachers and classes - it's all available to you right here at our dance studio!

Location
Gypsy Camp Ethnic Arts Center is located in Los Angeles on Motor Avenue halfway between Sony Studios and Fox Studios, conveniently near the Palms station on the Metro Expo Line. The studio serves the West Los Angeles area including the communities of Palms, Cheviot Hills, Rancho Park, Culver City, Century City, Beverly Hills, Mar Vista and Santa Monica.

In 1986 the Gypsy Folk Ensemble opened the Gypsy Camp Ethnic Arts Center in West Los Angeles to serve as our business office, our rehearsal space, and as a venue for the folk and world dance community in the Los Angeles area. With its single dance floor, Gypsy Camp offers teachers, students and groups a private, comfortable space for dance rehearsals, classes and workshops in a variety of dance styles.

Studio Rental
If you are a teacher looking for studio space, Gypsy Camp is a great rental venue for classes, rehearsals or intimate performances. The Arts Center is used by the local community for classes, exhibitions, performances and private events. Gypsy Camp is available for rental for class instruction and for individual or group rehearsals. The studio is also convenient for small shows, dance parties, and location shoots.  | The main dance floor at the studio measures 25 by 20 feet. It features a sprung wooden floor with ballet barres, a wall of mirrors and variable lighting. The studio also supplies a sound system which can accomodate various music sources including iPads and other tablets or phones, CDs, cassette tapes, and even vinyl. A portable Marley dance floor is rolled over the wooden floor for flamenco and tap classes. Air conditioning is available. |  |
The back section of the studio has an intimate area with tables and chairs and can seat about 30 people. This area can be used for meetings or classes.
